DIMINUENDO follows Elias Brandt and Kurt Vogel from their first meeting in a Munich park in 1927 to the moment Kurt signs the document that ends Elias's life as he has known it, in 1937. It is a love story and a historical drama and a political argument. It’s about how ordinary people become instruments of catastrophe, about how friendship is the first casualty of ideology, and about what it means to watch something you love be dismantled piece by piece in broad daylight. The play runs across two acts and thirteen scenes. It ends with an epilogue: a letter Kurt writes but cannot send.

Diminuendo is currently early in its development stage. The first draft is currently being edited and revised with an official table read happening in May of 2026.
